Shamrock Stewardship

Shamrock Stewardship

Shamrock Stewardship is Visitation School's stewardship program. As part of our stewardship, we are called to GIVE to others, SERVE others and LOVE others. Shamrock Stewardship incorporates 3 components:

  • Stewardship education in the classroom.
  • Stewardship of time and talent through service hours. Students can earn service hours through both individual volunteer service and through participation in service projects coordinated by parent coordinators for their grade level.
  • Each grade level will focus on a specific constituency for at least one of their projects.
  • Stewardship of treasure through semester-long, school-wide collections.

Our 2018-19 Visitation School Stewardship Committee program is led by:

Audrey Burns, SMT Stewardship Chair
Megan Burdolski, Visitation Director of Stewardship

Coins for Kanbe's

Students will be collecting coins in the coin jars in their classrooms to benefit Kanbe's Markets. Kanbe's Markets was started by Visitation School graduate Max Kaniger to provide fresh fruits and vegetables to neighborhoods in the Kansas City area that are considered "food deserts." Max spoke to students at the Monday morning prayer service on September 17 to kick off the coin drive. A great way for students to earn coins to add to their classroom coin jar is to give of their time by helping around the house or helping neighbors.
