The Golden Shamrocks are Visitation`s seniors group. They hold seasonal gatherings throughout the year at Visitation enjoying fellowship, food and fun. In addition, they partner with the seniors group at St. Peter parish for a St. Patrick's Day Mass & luncheon, summer picnic and a fall harvest dinner. A "Keep in Touch" committee reaches out to all senior parishioners three times each year to check on them and find out if they have any needs or concerns. The Golden Shamrocks ministry team meets regularly to plan and organize the group`s activities. For more information or to get involved, contact Millie Krna or Megan Burdolski.
The Golden Shamrocks will resume our seasonal gatherings with the celebration of St. Nicholas Day this December. Covid-permitting, we will enjoy one of our favorites, a soup & salad luncheon prepared by our favorite chef, Mark Blanck. Whether we can enjoy lunch or not, we will celebrate the season with several rounds of "white elephant" Bingo - bring a wrapped (or unwrapped - though wrapped will be lots more fun!) white elephant gift if you'd like. Some other holiday traditions will also be part of our celebration!
