| Grounded in our mission at Visitation is our commitment to serve our neighbors. To that end, Visitation School has created the School of Service program to reach out and serve the community.
The School of Service Program is managed by parent volunteers and supported by the faculty and staff of Visitation School. The program is intended to encourage and support service activity of ALL the students and families of Visitation. Service opportunities will be made available through the efforts of our Service Coordinators.
The goal for Visitation is to have 100 percent support and participation of all the students and parents. The service year runs from May 1 to April 30 of each year. For those students achieving 50 hours or more of service, special recognition will be awarded for the extra effort. Recognition should not be the motivation for service; but rather, our goal is to help form habits early that our children can carry with them into their adult lives.
To lead is to serve.
If you want to go fast, go alone; if you want to go far, go together. By working together, our Visitation community will embody the value of Christian service. Together, we will serve; together, we will lead.
