Parish Finance & Administration
Visitation Parish has had two primary financial goals for the past few years:
to reduce the debt from construction and renovation of our campus, and
to create an annual operating budget that would generate surpluses which could be used to service the debt while, at the same time, meeting our other needs.
The parish has been successful in meeting these goals. The financial operations of the parish are overseen by Business Manager Dave Kies and the Administrative Ministry Team.
Purpose of the Administrative Ministry Team
The Administrative Ministry Team (AMT) provides stewardship to advise the Pastor and Parish Council in matters pertaining to the financial affairs of the parish.
The AMT's primary function is to assist the Pastor by monitoring and making recommendations to the Pastor and the Parish Council in the responsible planning and administering of all Parish financial matters and in the setting of Parish financial policy and procedure - to provide effective management of Parish assets.
The AMT is directed by the values of the Gospel, as well as by good business practice. Efficient and effective use and management of Parish resources must be measured as much by their contribution to the Parish mission and ministry as by commonly accepted business standards.
